Putin would arrange another Holodomor in Ukraine — Zelenskyy
It is no coincidence that on the eve of the Holodomor Memorial Day, Russia attacked Ukraine with more than 70 combat drones.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that during its aggression, the Russian Federation seeks to exploit food shortages, turning hunger into a weapon. He also mentioned that if Kremlin leader Volodymyr Putin could, he would arrange another Holodomor in Ukraine.
He spoke about this on Saturday, November 25, during the second international summit of the “Grain from Ukraine” initiative in Kyiv, as reported by the President's website.
"Putin is proud to imitate the greatest murderers of the 20th century. If he could arrange another Holodomor in Ukraine, he would do it," the President emphasized, noting that it was no coincidence that on the eve of the Holodomor Memorial Day, Russia launched more than 70 “Shahed” attack UAVs over the territory of Ukraine.
Zelenskyy also recalled that on the very first day of the full-scale war, the Russian fleet blocked Ukrainian seaports and food exports critical for the world.
"Tens of countries and hundreds of millions of people in the vast space from West Africa to East Asia depend on whether the food market is stable," the President said.
According to him, the Ukrainian humanitarian initiative “Grain from Ukraine”, which has united almost 40 countries and international organizations, helps those states that suffer the most from food shortages.
"We are helping despite the constant Russian terror, the constant Russian attempt to disrupt our food exports. Ethiopia, Somalia, Yemen, Kenya... They have already received more than 170 thousand tons of food thanks to our joint humanitarian initiative. This is a salvation for millions of lives," the President emphasized.
Zelenskyy also mentioned that preparations are underway to dispatch another ship carrying grain cargo to the port of Nigeria, which will help nearly 400,000 people.
The Ukrainian leader emphasized that the Ukrainian people, who once experienced a terrifying artificial famine arranged by the enemy, are especially sensitive to the threat of famine for any other nation.
"Never again should hunger become a weapon against people's freedom. And anyone who tries to use hunger in this way, anyone whose terror contributes to chaos in the food market, must be held accountable before the entire world. Russia must be held accountable. I am confident that this will happen," Volodymyr Zelenskyy concluded.
