Russia attacked Ukraine with a missile and drones: explosions were heard in several regions

Ukrainian air defense forces intercepted the airborne threats in three regions.

On the night of July 29, the Russian military attacked Ukraine using a guided air missile, X-59/X-69, launched from the airspace over occupied Donetsk region, and 10 Shahed-type attack drones from Cape Chauda in Crimea.

According to the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units of the Air Force and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in repelling the attack.

As a result of the air defense battle, one X-59/X-69 guided air missile and nine Shahed-131/136 drones were shot down. The aerial targets were destroyed over Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Kirovohrad regions.

Additionally, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported that air defense forces shot down six Shahed drones and one missile over the region. Debris from the intercepted targets damaged two outbuildings.
