The night drone attack carried out by the Russian army on the night of December 7 was typical and did not significantly differ from previous ones. However, after a certain pause, the Russians struck the port infrastructure in Odesa using “Shahed” drones.

This was reported by the Spokesman of the Air Force, Yuriy Ignat, during a telethon.

According to him, the Russian military plans their attacks in advance and exploit various routes.

"The entry points into the airspace of Ukraine - whether from the occupied territories or from Russian territory from the north - are the Kursk and Bryansk regions. They are ultimately the same, in fact they do not change anything. This time they entered from the south-eastern direction - this is Cape Chauda of the occupied Crimea. There is also the direction of Primorsko-Akhtarsk. They enter the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region and then disperse along different routes," Ignat explained.

The representative of the Air Force says that the UAV tracking route does not change much. From his words: "literally, it can be 10-15 km left and right from the previous one."

"It may seem not that much, but for a mobile firing group, it's too large a territory to react and shoot back because the range of heavy machine guns and portable anti-aircraft missile systems is limited," Yuriy Ignat emphasized.
