Russian occupiers have increased pressure in the Sumy direction, attempting to widen control zones.
According to RBC-Ukraine, Viktor Trehubov, the spokesman for the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported this during the national telethon.
According to Trehubov, Russian forces have noticeably stepped up their activity in the Sumy region.
"At least in our zone, both in Hrabovske and to the north of it. There is another wedge zone there," he reported.
The spokesman specified that this refers to a limited advance — approximately 1 to 1.5 kilometers from the state border. He said that even such minor advances remain dangerous, as they indicate the intentions of Russian troops to gain a foothold and gradually expand their presence in the border areas.
