Russia has amassed hundreds of attack aircraft to use them to strike at Ukraine.
This was reported by Andrii Cherniak, a representative of Ukrainian Defence Intelligence, inhisa commentary for TSN.ua.
"We are not talking about accumulation on the border. The enemy has amassed a strike aviation group that is at least 200 kilometers from the border. This grouping can be used to conduct an assault action in those areas where the enemy will have some success. As of today, we see that not a single task of the so-called special operation has been accomplished, not a single goal has been achieved. That is why they are now looking at where they can gain some tactical success and then reinforce with attack aircraft," Andrii Cherniak says.
According to Cherniak, it is primarily the Donetsk direction.
"As for the number, we are talking about hundreds of units. But how many of these hundreds are operational? They are also using Soviet-era aircraft. It is difficult to predict how much of it is in good working order," Chernyak said.
In turn, the Ukrainian Air Force has repeatedly reported that the enemy is not sending its aircraft deeper into Ukraine because of the improvement of Ukrainian air defense.
