Russia has created “significant defensive lines”: Stoltenberg called for not underestimating Russians
According to Stoltenberg, the West has helped Ukraine prepare for a counteroffensive, but the Russian positions are also strong.
The Ukrainian military has received the necessary assistance and is ready for a counteroffensive, but the Russians have been able to establish "significant defensive lines."
This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in a comment to CNN.
Stoltenberg admitted that wars are unpredictable by their nature, but Ukraine has already proven that it can de-occupy its territory.
He added that Ukraine has received all the necessary weapons and equipment for a counterattack from its Western partners, and our military have undergone training in other countries. In particular, there are nine well-trained and equipped brigades.
According to Stoltenberg, the occupiers have managed to create "significant defensive lines".
"We should never underestimate the Russians. The front line was static for a long time, the Russian forces were able to create significant defensive lines to repel the planned counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the Secretary General of the Alliance emphasized.
