Russia is fiercely attacking in seven directions: the main information from the General Staff

During the day, January 14, 86 combat clashes took place at the front.

This is stated in the evening summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The enemy actively uses aviation and quadrocopters of the FPV type, conducts assault operations with the support of armored vehicles.

In total, the Russians carried out 3 missile strikes and 60 aerial attacks, conducted 45 MLRS strikes on the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of the Russian attacks, unfortunately, there are killed and wounded among the civilian population. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

The situation in certain directions

On the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There were no signs of the formation of offensive groups.

On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells populated areas from the territory of Russia, and increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border of Ukraine. Over 35 populated areas have experienced artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy.

In the Kupiansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 3 attacks in the Synkivka and Petropavlivka areas of Kharkiv region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to breach the defense of our forces.

Approximately 10 populated areas came under artillery and mortar fire.

14 attacks were repelled on the Lyman front, near Makiivka, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region, and Verkhniokamianske in Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to improve its tactical position.

The enemy conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Bilohorivka, Serebrianske forestry in Luhansk region, and Vesele in Donetsk region. About 15 populated areas suffered from artillery and mortar shelling.

In the Bakhmut direction, 5 enemy attacks were repelled near Klishchiivka and Andriivka, Donetsk region. The enemy launched an airstrike in the area of Bohdanivka, Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Avdiivka direction, 9 enemy attacks were repelled in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka and another 13 attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske, Donetsk region. Here, the occupiers, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully tried to improve the tactical position. More than 10 settlements were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Maryinka direction, the defense forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region. Here, the Russians, with aviation support, unsuccessfully tried 15 times to breach the defense of our forces. Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maksymilianivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, and Kostiantynivka came under the artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not engage in offensive (assault) actions. They carried out an airstrike in the area of Volodymyrivka settlement of Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, 9 attacks were repelled near Chervone, to the west of Verbove and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy unsuccessfully tried to restore the lost position there. About 20 settlements were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Kherson direction, the center of Kherson and the settlement of Stanislav of Kherson region were hit by enemy artillery fire. The enemy shelled Tyahynka, Ivanivka, Ingulets, Mykilske, Sadove, Chornobayivka, and Stanislav areas of Kherson region from MLRS.

A bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnipro

The enemy does not give up its intention to knock out our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro. Thus, during the day, the enemy carried out 6 unsuccessful assaults. The General Staff assured that the Armed Forces will continue to hold their positions and inflict significant losses on the enemy.

Counterattacks

The Defense Forces' aviation struck at 4 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weaponry, and military equipment throughout the day. Additionally, air defense systems destroyed one guided aviation missile X-59.

Units of the missile forces delivered struck at 3 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weaponry, and military equipment, 1 anti-aircraft defense system and 2 ammunition depots.
