On Saturday, January 13, the Russian Federation's army carried out a combined missile attack on Ukraine, using various types of weapons. This was essentially similar to the previous shelling, including that on January 8.
Yuriy Ignat, Spokesperson for the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the details of the massive missile attack on Ukraine.
"First, there were several “Shaheds” around midnight, as well as S-300 and S-400 missiles, launched from Belgorod region. Then, cruise missiles were launched from the Caspian Sea area. Strategic aviation struck with “X-101” and “X-555” missiles. Next were launches of “Kinzhals,” which flew both towards western Ukraine and towards Dnipro region. Additionally, there were Tu-22M3 attacks and X-22 missiles. Guided air missiles from several tactical aircraft were also used - this is an anti-radar “X-31P”, as well as “X-59", Ignat said.
According to him, the enemy used many means of air attack of various types. A total of 40 air targets were recorded. Eight cruise missiles were destroyed, as well as one guided air missile.
The spokesman of the Air Force also reported that over 20 aerial targets did not reach their intended destinations: they either fell in open fields, exploded in the air, or were affected by our Defense Forces' electronic warfare measures.
"It's good that Russian missiles not only face resistance from our Defense Forces but are increasingly failing to fly “precisely to the target,” as they claim. The missiles are becoming less effective and are not reaching their intended destinations," Ignat emphasized.
