The Russian army is actively using heavy equipment: Barabash about intensifying attacks on Avdiivka

The Russian occupying army has started actively using heavy equipment near Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. Frosts and freezing of the soil contribute to such actions of the Russians. 

Vitaliy Barabash, Head of the Avdiivka City Military Administration, told about this on the air of the telethon.

According to him, it was expected that the invaders would start using heavy equipment - as soon as the ground freezes.

"Yesterday morning (January 11th - Ed.), tanks, IFVs, and regular infantry started moving. Yesterday, they actively used equipment. They took advantage of the temperature rise for their assault actions using the equipment," Barabash said.

Ukrainian defenders were ready for this, and therefore destroyed a lot of enemy equipment and personnel of the Russian army.

The head of the City Military Administration said that the night of January 12 "was more or less calm" on this part of the front.
