Mobilization in Russia

Military propagandist of Kadyrov's "Akhmat," Apti Alaudinov, openly talks about the need to mobilize "a couple of million" men for a war against Europe, threatening the West with total defeat and the collapse of NATO. This is part of a broader informational campaign testing the reaction of the Russian population to the prospect of total war.

This was reported by Head of the NSDC's Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko.

This narrative will be studied, the population's reactions will be gauged, and the results of it will be put before Putin.

"Previously, similar ideas were voiced by other representatives of the Russian authorities, and social media posts spread about urgent meetings in Moscow regarding a new war scenario. The Kremlin is trying to convince Russians of the inevitability of the conflict and the need for a new wave of mobilization, presenting it as a path to a "quick victory," the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation noted.

Kovalenko has already noted that within 4-6 years, Russia plans a potential invasion of the Baltic countries. However, now the involvement of millions of people would mean a prolonged and exhausting war that could last for decades, turning Russia into a military camp in the style of 1941-1945. And if Russian society does not express active resistance, the realization of this scenario will only be a matter of time.

"Instead of coffee in Vilnius, Russia will lose additional territories and statehood within its current borders. National entities will arise faster in the still-existing territories of Russia. By the way, are these the peace signals Russia is sending to the U.S.? Unlikely," Andriy Kovalenko concluded.
