Russia may launch mass attacks on Ukraine several times a week — Hetman forecasts

Expert Oleksii Hetman said Russia may launch mass strikes on Ukraine several times a week. The expert explained the role of drones, cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as the prospects of attacks on energy infrastructure.

Mass strikes by the Russian occupiers on Ukraine may occur several times a week, veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war and retired Major Oleksii Hetman said on Radio NV.

“If they begin using an untouchable missile stockpile estimated at up to 2,000 units, mass strikes could take place several times a week,” the expert said. He added the enemy can usually launch two or three attacks in succession: “More than that — no, as they would lack the necessary means.”

Hetman says that when preparing strikes, Russia “tests” Ukrainian air defenses and seeks ways to bypass their most heavily protected areas. He says drones can be used daily as they do not require complex launch systems, while air-launched cruise and ballistic missiles require time to prepare.

“One strike after another — two strikes may happen once a week,” Hetman added.
