The occupiers are trying to cross the Dnipro River in Kherson region. To do so, they must land on Buzhaz Island and secure a bridgehead there.
This was reported by Spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, Colonel Vladyslav Voloshyn, according to Ukrinform.
"The enemy is attempting to cross water obstacles and has now opened a "new" direction. The direction in which it has become more active and has already made several landing attempts in the river zone over the past few days is the southern part of the Dnipro river island system," the military officer said.
"In the very south, there is an island near the settlement of Kizomys — Buzhaz Island. There, the enemy is trying to land on this island, secure a certain bridgehead, and carry out a crossing of the Dnipro River from the south."
