Our allies need to be explained why it's better for Russia to be defeated in the war. This is crucial for understanding the importance of unwavering support for Ukraine.

This was stated by the political analyst of the Euro-Atlantic Cooperation Institute, Volodymyr Horbach, in an interview with UNIAN.

There is no need to fear Russia's defeat

Diplomatic and political efforts, as well as expert-level discussions, are essential. Arguments should be sought.

"Perhaps, we should present a vision of the future, demonstrating how the situation will improve after Russia's defeat. What it might look like – if not controlled, then balanced, and thanks to which geopolitical factors, it can be balanced, including Ukrainian influence on the territory of the Russian Federation," Horbach stated.

He adds: "In the West, there is fear that Russia's defeat will lead to a loss of control over nuclear weapons and an escalation. It's important to explain that maintaining the Russian Federation in its current state is a greater evil. And the current state – the war in Ukraine – is a greater evil than what the West fears, than the fact that the Russian Federation may enter some stage of transformation, change, destruction," the analyst concluded.
