The news has been supplemented

The Russian military launched another assault on civilian shipping in the Black Sea overnight into May 29, with enemy UAVs hitting three foreign merchant vessels transiting the Ukrainian maritime corridor.

The strikes were confirmed by Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for Communities and Territories Development.

The drone strikes sparked fires on board the vessels, though the crews managed to contain and extinguish the blazes on their own.

Two crew members aboard a Vanuatu-flagged vessel sustained minor injuries and received medical treatment. The damaged ship has been towed for repairs.

Kuleba emphasizes that despite relentless Russian attacks, Ukraine keeps the maritime corridor operational, with ports and crews maintaining cargo traffic to safeguard global food security.
