Russian advance on Pokrovsk front: Military issues important statement

Ukraine’s Defense Forces have improved the situation on the Pokrovsk front in Donetsk region, preventing the occupiers from advancing.

Spokesman for the “Dnipro” Operational-Strategic Grouping of Troops, Viktor Trehubov, said this in a comment to Ukrinform.

He answered “yes” when asked whether he could confirm an improvement in the situation on the Pokrovsk front and the prevention of an enemy advance.

“They (the Russians - Ed.) were stopped back then, they did not go further. The map, rather, shows their route than the entire area they occupied. They were stopped right there. Now the forces that entered are being localized and are subject to elimination,” Trehubov stressed.

According to him, it is unknown how long this will take, but as of now the Russian occupiers are being driven out of the tree lines. A large number of the occupiers have been eliminated.

“As of now, they are being actively eliminated. The main thing is to prevent them from sending in new groups there, but for now the first line is holding. They simply used everything they managed to infiltrate behind it over a certain period of time,” he explained.
