Former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovych said that the Russian Federation is preparing for the second round of war with Ukraine in 2027. According to him, the Kremlin has drawn all conclusions from this war and can create 16 new divisions.

Political consultant Dmitry Vasiliev discussed the feasibility of this scenario in an exclusive interview with TSN.ua.

"This is absolutely realistic. All people who have analyzed the situation, see the real situation in Russia. The people who live there understand that revenge will be desirable for Russians, for the entire population and for the political elite of Russia.

If Russia maintains its current territorial integrity and if a certain regime, which is essentially controlled by one of the Kremlin's towers—the FSB—remains in some form, I believe that Russia will be preparing for a new war," he noted.

According to Vasiliev, it is crucial for the regime in Russia to undergo fundamental changes.

"It is not just the collapse of the territorial integrity of the country that matters, but rather the collapse of the regime itself. If it disintegrates and processes of democratization begin within Russia in one form or another, on one territory or another within the modern Russian Federation. Perhaps it will be the European part of the Russian Federation, it cannot be ruled out either. But Moscow with its imperial ambitions may remain. Revanchism may be fueled. It is essential for the regime to change and for military criminals to be held accountable by the International Criminal Court. Essentially, the formula for peace proposed by President Zelenskyy, which he presents every time he is abroad or when respected foreign partners visit Ukraine, needs to be realized," he said.

By the way, according to the political consultant, the same formula was discussed at the meeting with the special representative of China. This information came from the Head of the Presidential Office. Therefore, China also has this document in its possession and understands that it represents a stable and lasting peace for Ukraine.

"It is crucial that the political pressure on Russia during and after Ukraine's final victory in this war be of such strength that the regime collapses and the leadership of Russia undergoes substantial changes. This should also include the position advocated recently by General Budanov, who emphasized the need to create a demilitarized zone around Ukraine of approximately 100 kilometers. If all these things happen, there will be no war in 2027. However, if they don't, Russia will indeed prepare for a new war, seeking revenge, and within the timeframe mentioned by Arestovych, the war becomes entirely possible," Vasiliev summarized.
