Reserve Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and military expert Roman Svitan says, that the offensive operation of the occupying forces of Russia continues. However, the enemy is currently preparing for an autumn-winter campaign.

He told about this in an interview with OBOZ.UA.

"Regarding the actual offensive actions, Russia is now preparing for an autumn-winter campaign, gathering forces and resources, and preparing units in the rear, beyond the Urals. Their goal is to continue fulfilling the tasks they will halt during the summer campaign. Most likely, the objectives will remain the same – reaching the administrative borders of Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Additionally, the Zaporizhzhia direction might be added," the expert explained.

According to him, the occupiers are trying to stretch the front line and disperse the Ukrainian Armed Forces. However, the occupiers are also diverting a portion of their own troops.

"But it’s a small portion. It’s not hundreds of thousands. It’s about fifteen to twenty thousand Russians who are trying to advance somewhere. However, they inhibit our reserves. We have fewer troops than the Russians. Given this, they will use this tactic – stretching our forces across different directions," Svitan noted.

The reserve colonel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces also adds that the occupiers are currently stuck at our defensive line in the Donbas and are trying to break through it. This is not working because of the high density of troops there. Therefore, they are creating local clashes in other areas to dislodge our forces there.

"They partially succeed. For example, the 92nd brigade was transferred from Chasiv Yar to Kharkiv. This is what they want to achieve along the entire front line. But this is not a new offensive, not some new operations. These are the same, but with a different intensity", - Roman Svitan summed up.
