Ukraine can resume gas transit through its territory, but under no circumstances will it cooperate with the Russian Federation or use Russian energy resources.

This was stated by Ukraine's Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko, in an interview with LB Live.

"We can resume transit. But Russian gas will not go through this pipeline," Halushchenko emphasized.

He explained that currently Ukraine does not have any proposals for gas transit from other countries, but the presence of gas pipelines in Ukraine could, for example, provide Europe with the potential to replace Russian gas with Azerbaijani gas.

"In fact, we are open to negotiations with our neighbors. We will hold consultations. But it is very important that we speak on a professional level," the Minister of Energy noted.
