“Russian invaders want to destroy everything there”: Zelenskyy described the situation in the Donbas as "very difficult"

At the same time, the Russian invaders understand that this war does not make sense for them and they have no chance. President Zelenskyy said this in a video message on the 24th of May.

“Now the situation in Donbas is extremely difficult. In fact, all the power of the Russian Armed Forces, which they still have, has been thrown there for the offensive. Lyman, Popasna, Sievierodonetsk, Sloviansk – the invaders want to destroy everything there ,” Zelenskyy said.

“But in the intercepts of their conversations, we hear that they are perfectly aware that this war does not make sense for Russia and that strategically their Armed Forces has no chance. But it takes time and a lot more extraordinary efforts of our people to reverse their advantage in numbers equipment and weapons,” the Ukraine's President stressed.
