"Russian passports in the West": a soldier shared shocking stories of captivity
The military told what the occupiers said them in captivity.
"Arn"
Released from Russian captivity, a former prisoner of war and member of the Azov Regiment, known as "Arn", shared that while in Russian captivity, they were told by the captors that "Ukraine had already fallen," though the defenders did not believe it.
He revealed this in an exclusive interview with Marichka Padalko.
"Arn" described how the captors tried to "break" Ukrainian defenders held in captivity.
"They told us Kyiv had already fallen long ago, that Kharkiv had been taken, and that Russian passports had already being distributed in western Ukraine. We knew it was all lies because Ukraine met the enemy with dignity in 2022, but Ukraine is fighting against a powerful state. We understood Ukraine had not fallen, because if it had, they would have treated us differently in captivity. They were just trying to break us, to destroy us as individuals," he said.
