Russians Randomly Shell Sievierodonetsk: Multiple Casualties Are Discovered in a Local Apartment Block (Photo, Video)

Yesterday, the invaders started a random and massive artillery shelling of Sievierodonetsk. During the attack, several enemy shells hit a residential apartment block killing at least three Ukrainian civilians. The tragedy unfolded in the older districts of the city, as Serhii Haidai, the Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, reported.
According to him, the lifeless bodies of one female and two male victims were discovered by the police officers who were the first to arrive at the scene. Another woman suffered severe injuries and was immediately admitted to the intensive care unit. Despite all efforts of the medics, who desperately fought for her life, the victim died in the surgery room.
"All four deceased were in the same apartment block during the shelling. Most likely they owned the apartments there or living in the neighborhood. Yesterday, this street was heavily shelled by Russians troops. Several houses were damaged. The Russian shells hit at least six residential houses in the city and at least six more building in nearby city of Lysychansk. One of the Lysychansk residential districts, the first responders managed to save the life of a man trapped in the destroyed apartment block”, Haidai reported.
Four more houses were destroyed in Zolote, and three buildings were hit in Novodruzhesk.
"These are very powerful attacks. Sometimes we are unable to timely estimate the extent of damage, since it’s hard to get the access to the scene. Thus, for example, we’ve just received the delayed reports that the enemy once again shelled the regional special school building. This is the orphan boarding school in Hirske, which had been a state-of-art and well-equipped academic institution before the war. Now, the so-called “Russian world” has come to our region and took it away”, Haidai added.
According to him, the Ukrainian authorities continue to receive more and more new reports regarding destroyed housing in Popasna and Rubizhne.
Meanwhile, the Russian have focused their efforts on the offensive operation to surround Lysychansk and Sievierodonetsk. Currently, the enemy assaults Toshkivka and Ustinivka in the suburbs of Lysychansk with the massive artillery support.
Yesterday, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 16 Russian attacks, destroyed eight tanks, twenty-one armored personal carriers and one enemy vehicle. The anti-aircraft units downed one “Garant” unmanned aerial vehicle and six “Orlan-10” UAVs.
