For the Russian army’s summer offensive campaign, the priority directions remain Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region, as well as Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region.

Military analyst Vasyl Pekhno said this on the air of Espreso.

According to him, Russian forces are primarily focusing on offensive operations in the Donetsk region — specifically targeting Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk.

"In this summer offensive campaign, the occupiers will attempt to capture these particular cities. That is, they want to reach Kostiantynivka and gain a direct route to Sloviansk, cut off the ledge near Siversk, and attempt to encircle Pokrovsk, although at the moment, that is quite difficult," Pekhno emphasized.

The analyst adds that the aggressor country's army aims to initiate urban combat in Kupiansk during the winter of this year.

"Their main priority in this summer campaign is the Donbas, followed by Kupiansk. The enemy has ambitions to advance in the Kupiansk area. Everything else — the Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions — could serve as diversionary directions," the analyst explained.
