Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi said he was operating on the south-eastern fronts and visited command posts of units engaged in active combat operations in the Oleksandrivka direction and the Huliaipole area.

He reported this on social media.

According to Syrskyi, the operational situation on the Huliaipole direction remains challenging. Russian forces continue attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses, regularly attacking with weapons and military equipment, but without significant results.

Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold established lines and positions, disrupt enemy plans and inflict heavy losses in manpower and equipment. Ukrainian troops also conduct effective counter‑attacks and assault operations, actively employing drone systems, artillery and electronic warfare.

In meetings with commanders of airborne assault and assault units, Syrskyi received updates on the situation, mission execution and unit requirements. Following the meetings, he issued relevant orders.

The Commander‑in‑Chief emphasized that the liberation of territories is an important task, but the priority remains preserving the lives of Ukrainian soldiers and the combat capability of units. He separately drew commanders’ attention to the need to take into account the professional experience and special skills of servicemen when making appointments.

«Defense Forces fighters are showing resilience and professionalism. We are working together for the liberation of Ukrainian territories, ” Syrskyi stressed.
