The night Russian attack on Odesa, August 14
On the night of August 14, the Russians once again attacked Odesa. As a result of the missile strike, there are victims, a fully destroyed food hypermarket, a damaged dormitory, and 7 educational institutions.
The details of the night attack were reported by TSN correspondent Serhiy Osadchuk.
What specifically attacked Odesa
The enemy attacked the city around 3 o'clock in the morning. There were several waves of strike drones, and the Russians also launched 8 ‘Kalibr’ sea-based missiles. Enemy targets were shot down by Air Defense Forces, but there were so many drones and missiles that it was not possible to shoot down all of them over the sea. Debris fell on the territory of the city, so Odesa residents heard powerful explosions. The most powerful of them occurred in the hypermarket. It is still smoking inside. Preliminarily, a part of the downed missile fell there and exploded. A massive fire broke out. Inside, there were a lot of flammable materials.

"A bomb flew right over my house. I went into the corridor and heard something flying behind me in my apartment. And I'm already afraid to go out from there," a resident of the neighboring house is telling about the attack.
The owners of the local pet store recall that everything started around 3 in the morning.
"Inside, everything is just as it is outside, dreadful. Everything burned down, no ceilings left. The fire exit, that's all that's left there. It burned up, and everything is in water, smoldering," say eyewitnesses.
At the time of the explosion, there were security guards inside the hypermarket. They were wounded, but survived.
What is known about destruction
Red Cross volunteer Denys Blonsky says that, fortunately, the number of injured is minimal and there are no dead.
"Unfortunately, there was a strike on a civilian object, which is prohibited by the Geneva Conventions," emphasizes the representative of the Red Cross.

The blast wave damaged the windows in the houses across the road from the hypermarket. Currently, people are trying to repair the damage and cover the holes with tape. They say that the windows that were pre-covered with adhesive tape and left open for ventilation remained intact.
The city authorities have already made public the official consequences of the night attack by the Russians. According to their data, 113 buildings were damaged by the blast wave and debris. Seven educational institutions are among them.
