Russian units are actively using infantry groups, drones, artillery, and mortars for offensive actions in the Pokrovsk area.
This was reported by Spokesman of the National Guard of Ukraine, Ruslan Muzychuk, on the "We-Ukraine" program.
"The enemy is quite actively conducting offensive operations both against settlements in the Pokrovsk area and on the southern flank of Pokrovsk itself. The occupiers are concentrating infantry groups of two to ten people for advance. They are taking advantage of current weather conditions - fog and poor visibility. As a result, aerial reconnaissance is not always able to effectively detect targets at long distances," Muzychuk said.
He also reports that the enemy is actively using FPV drones and artillery, including mortars, which have a range of 3 to 5 kilometers.
Muzychuk emphasizes that in recent days, the Russians have almost completely refrained from using heavy equipment for assaults. They are using lightly armored vehicles - cars or motorcycles.
"The use of drones has significantly increased. If we compare it to the autumn of 2024, the intensity of UAV usage on both sides has increased by more than 2.5 times," the National Guard spokesman added.
