Russian invaders are attempting to encircle Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk region. The enemy is trying to cut off the road from Zelene Pole and capture the settlement without engaging in urban combat.
This was reported by DeepState analysts.
"Increasingly, the enemy's plan to capture Velyka Novosilka without engaging in urban combat is becoming evident. The opponent will try to improve its position to the north and south of Novy Komar, cut off the road from Zelene Pole, and reach the ravine to the north," the statement said.
The analysts reported that over the last three days, Russian occupiers captured Neskuchne and were continuing to clear Vremivka.
According to expert assessments, Vremivka is actually lost, and even if there was a Ukrainian observation post in the village, its strategic significance is now minimal.
Meanwhile, as of the afternoon of January 15, there was still information about Ukrainian forces resisting in Neskuchne, but by evening, the Russians had already controlled the center of Vremivka.
"How two entire villages became deserted in just three days is still unknown," the analysts concluded.
