The Russian army does not stop shelling the Kherson region: a woman died

On Tuesday, May 23, the Russian army shelled Kizomys, Stanislav, and Berislav in the Kherson region. Additionally, a woman was killed in the village of Kozatske. In the village of Mykhailivka, the administrative building of the village council and the school building were destroyed.

This was reported by Alexander Tolokonnikov, the Head of the Press Office of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, during the telethon "United News".

"In the afternoon, the village of Kozatske was shelled with a mortar. A 62-year-old woman was killed. She was found by our rescuers," Tolokonnikov reported.

In response to this incident, the prosecutor's office has initiated a pre-trial investigation into the violation of laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder.

"According to the investigation, on the morning of May 23, 2023, the Russian army carried out mortar shelling of the Kozatske settlement. As a result of the shelling, a woman was killed," the Prosecutor General's Office said in a statement.
