The Russians prepare for assault actions: The Armed Forces of Ukraine report specific locations

After the capture of Vuhledar, Russian troops are preparing for assault actions and are likely to intensify their efforts, particularly in the direction of the settlement of Velyka Novosilka.

This was reported by Spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, on the air of the telethon on October 8.

According to him, tensions remain high in the south. There, the occupiers are attacking with missiles, drones and are intensifying operations in this operational zone. The enemy is preparing for an offensive to gain an advantage in certain areas of the front.

Situation in the Robotyne area of Zaporizhzhia region

Voloshyn states that the enemy had success near the previously captured Vuhledar and is now trying to regroup its forces and resources, preparing for further assault actions, particularly in the Robotyne ledge and from the village of Pryiutne towards Velyka Novosilka.

He also mentioned that counter-battery fighting was ongoing in the Robotyne area. However, there has not yet been a massive assault. Nevertheless, the enemy may launch an offensive soon, as they are already deploying their assault groups to the front lines and conducting reconnaissance and search operations with personnel.

"These are assaults by small infantry groups - up to a squad. In this way, they are trying to identify our weak points in defense and locate our fire assets," Voloshyn explained.

He adds that in Kherson region, the enemy is fighting for islands in the Dnipro River, where they are also conducting small group infantry assaults to identify weak points in the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Then the Russians hope to develop further success - to take more advantageous positions for shelling and striking.

According to Voloshyn, not long ago, an enemy reconnaissance and sabotage group tried to enter the settlement of Kamianske but was destroyed.
