During the past day, the Russian occupying forces attacked the Izmail district of the Odesa region with combat drones. 

This was reported by the Ukrainian Southern Defense Forces, which also shared the photos.

During the drone attacks, several settlements in the Danube region were hit. As a result of these strikes, there were reports of destruction and fires. Port infrastructure and agricultural facilities were damaged, including agro-enterprises, elevators, warehouses, and administrative buildings.

After the attack, the Regional Military Administration reported that one person sustained injuries incompatible with life. The State Emergency Service clarified that the deceased was an employee of one of the enterprises.

Meanwhile, the Office of the Prosecutor General announced that under the procedural guidance of the Izmail District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the violation of laws and customs of war.

The aftermath of the drone attack on Odesa region

"According to the investigation, during the night of September 6, 2023, the armed forces of Russia carried out a massive drone strike on populated areas in Odesa region," the statement reads.
