Apart from Vitkoff's statement in the media, Ukraine has not received any official communications from the U.S. side regarding a return to the "Istanbul Agreements."

The United States has not officially proposed that Ukraine return to the so-called "Istanbul Agreements" for negotiations with Russia.

This was stated by Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhiy Tykhyi, as reported by European Pravda.

The diplomat commented on the statement made by special envoy of Donald Trump, Steve Vitkoff, who recently said that the "Istanbul Protocol Agreement" could serve as a "framework for reaching a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia."

"We have not received any official communications from the U.S. side regarding the possibility of considering the so-called Istanbul Agreements or any process as a basis for a peaceful settlement," the MFA spokesman assured.
