The Ukrainian Naval Forces commented on the collision of three cargo ships in the Kerch Strait

The collision of three dry cargo ships in the Kerch Strait during a mega-storm is associated with a violation of water safety requirements.

This was stated by Spokesman of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Captain 3rd rank Dmytro Pletenchuk.

“This is due to a violation of safety requirements on the water, first of all. Of course, these situations could have been avoided there, but the Russian occupiers constantly neglect safety requirements,” he said.

According to him, the occupants disable the ship identification system in this area so that their violation of international maritime law cannot be observed.
