The UN has reported how many fields in Ukraine are not suitable for sowing due to the Russian attack

In Ukraine, more than 30% of agricultural fields due to the war unleashed by Russia will not be suitable for sowing grain this year. The main reasons are active hostilities, as well as a large number of mines and other ammunition left in the fields.

It is stated in the message of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

"More than 30% of agricultural fields could not be used for wheat, barley, sunflower and corn. Continuous hostilities could cause a global food catastrophe, as 36 of the 55 countries with food crises depended on Ukraine and Russian exports," the statement said.
