With worsening weather conditions, the Defense Forces of Ukraine are switching to strategic defense in some areas. However, not everyone is satisfied with this state of affairs.
Army General, former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Mykola Malomuzh believes that maintaining defense is just one component of military actions. However, there are other perspectives because the advance of the Defense Forces is still ongoing. He mentioned this in a comment to “24 Kanal."
"Even the format of trench active defense is fundamentally unsuitable for Ukraine," Malomuzh is convinced.
Thus, Ukrainian fighters are actively destroying the occupiers and their equipment, which is a serious military achievement.
This was also noted by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. According to him, success at the front can be measured not only by square kilometers, but also by the inflicted losses.
Ukraine must develop its military potential
It is important not to rely entirely on partners but to develop its own defense-industrial complex.
"We need to work in tandem to have a complete set of weapons, equipment, and especially ammunition. Then active offensive operations will be real," Malomuzh emphasized.
In addition to developing the defense industry, proper strategic planning and support from Western countries are also crucial. All of this together guarantees Ukraine's victory.
