"Ukraine Has 2-4 Months to Liberate the Territories": General Malomuzh Explains Why

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have to liberate the territories seized by Russia within the next 2-4 months, as Mykola Malomuzh, the Former Chief of Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, said in his interview with OBOZREVATEL.

"It is extremely important that our actions to liberate the territories take place in the next 2-4 months, before Russia forms new units, corps, divisions, armies and has enough time to develop a certain military potential. Although poorly trained and poorly equipped, this massive military presence with huge number of tanks, armored personnel carriers, missiles, ammunition, etc, may be a problem. It would take around six months for Russia to deploy this kind of "military machine". This would include not only training of personnel at the training centers in Belarus and Russia, but also arming these newly mobilized soldiers with weapons and military equipment, since currently these “fresh recruits” suffer heavy losses for no apparent avail," the General explained.

According to him, this is why Russia has switched to a new tactic: more powerful pooling of all resources, training for at least 2-4 months and preparation of new divisions and units that will participate in further offensive operations on the territory of Ukraine.

Mykola Malomuzh also explained that the recent meeting in the Ramstein format on January 20th, namely the agreement to supply weapons to Ukraine, would deprive Russia of any means to maintain fire and conduct offensive operations both in the Eastern part (Luhansk and Donetsk regions) and in the Southern part of the country (Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, up to the Crimea).

"In the next 2-3 months we will receive the latest weapons and equipment in large quantities. This includes hundreds of armored personnel carriers, more than a hundred tanks, Leopard, Abrams and missile systems. Long-range artillery with a range of 160 kilometers. This is very important to destroy all the reserves that will be moving from Russia. This will also allow us to create fire ramparts behind the frontline. This scenario is the highest priority today. I think it is being prepared. The only problem is the delays with the supply of weapons, equipment and ammunition, because we need millions of them, not hundreds of thousands, as we were supplied with earlier," he summarized.
