On Wednesday, August 30, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with representatives of the parliament and members of the government to discuss the start of negotiations on EU membership.
He spoke about this on Wednesday, August 30, in the traditional evening address.
He stated that during the meeting with international experts, they discussed Ukraine's readiness to commence negotiations on membership with the European Union and the implementation of EU recommendations.
"We need draft laws that have already been prepared and that need to be voted on in the Parliament. 226 votes for each decision for Ukraine in the EU is a duty," emphasized Zelenskyy.
The President also announced active preparations for negotiations and meetings scheduled for September this year.
"I held meetings with international experts, with our ambassadors in the respective countries. We clearly see which leaders we should meet and negotiate with, as well as what results we should bring to Ukraine," the Ukrainian leader said.
