Ukraine may sever diplomatic ties with Iran due to the potential supply of ballistic missiles to the Russian military.
This was stated by Spokesman for Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heorhiy Tykhy, during a briefing.
It is known that the acting chargé d'affaires of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ukraine was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"Ukraine expressed its firm stance that this would have devastating consequences for Ukrainian-Iranian relations. I can once again confirm that our warning remains in effect. I will not specify what exactly is meant by "devastating consequences" to avoid weakening our diplomatic position," Tykhy emphasized.
He also noted that all options, including the severing of diplomatic relations, are under consideration. If the transfer of missiles is confirmed, and their use is documented, there will be consequences.
