The use of medium-range ballistic missiles to strike Ukraine is “typical blackmail” by the aggressor state's president, Volodymir Putin, aimed at Western countries.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha urged Western partners not to succumb to this blackmail and to support Ukraine with the necessary anti-missile systems.
“Putin is trying to scare everyone away from supporting Ukraine. Ukraine's partners must do the exact opposite: reject the blackmail, increase support, and strengthen Ukraine's air shield with systems capable of intercepting such missiles,” he wrote on Platform X (formerly Twitter).
