Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the G20 summit held in Brazil on November 18–19 provided very weak support for Ukraine.

He said this on Saturday, November 23, during a press briefing at the 3rd International Conference on Food Security "Grain from Ukraine," Ukrinform reports.

"Brazil failed to raise its voice against Putin's aggression and Russia during the G20 summit. It was not loud enough. This weakness allows Putin, during such global events, like when the G20 is convening, to escalate with missile strikes after Scholz's call. This is another escalation. I believe that if there were strong statements, strong calls, and strong actions, Putin would not behave this way," the Ukrainian leader said.

Zelenskyy says that while the majority of people in Brazil support Ukraine, the country’s president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, has shown weakness regarding the war waged by Russia against Ukraine.
"I do not believe that cheap energy resources can provide long-term protection for one's freedom. This is a misguided approach. And in this situation, Brazil's mediation cannot be effective," he added.
