The occupiers aim to encircle the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Uspenivka and Kurakhove. There are reports of Russian troops present in the eastern part of Kurakhove itself.

This was stated by military analyst Denys Popovych on the air of Espreso TV.

"There is evidence that they control part of the city. The Russians are advancing from the east, from the north, from the direction of the Kurakhove Reservoir, and have already taken control of certain settlements," Popovych said. According to him, the Russians are advancing from the east, threatening to cut the road to Zaporizhzhia, which runs east of Kurakhove.

"This may occur not just in one location. There are several critical points of concern. First and foremost, there’s the village of Kostyantynopil. Additionally, there’s a smaller area near Uspenivka, where an encirclement is also forming, gradually, so to speak," the analyst added. He said that the current weather conditions did not favor successful troop movements along the front.

"The first snow has fallen. It’s clear that it will melt, and when that happens, the mud will limit the possibility of retreat along proper roads. Units may be forced to move across fields, potentially abandoning equipment if the situation unfolds unfavorably. This is a very worrying scenario," the expert said.

Denys Popovych emphasizes that, unfortunately, the enemy retains offensive potential and continues to advance on the Kurakhove front.
