"Ukraine's "Involvement" in the Nord Stream Explosions: Zelenskyy Responded to the Accusations

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the allegations that Ukraine was responsible for the explosions of the Russian Nord Stream gas pipelines. During a briefing with Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, the Head of State said that "Ukrainians definitely did not do this", UNIAN reports.

"As for Nord Stream, we have nothing to do with it," the President said.

According to him, such materials in the media play "into the hands of Russia" and appear to slow down the provision of assistance to Ukraine. Zelenskyy also called it dangerous that "some independent media... are taking such steps."

"This is wrong, it only plays into the hands of Russia, or there are some other business groups that are interested in not imposing powerful sanctions because business suffers. Unfortunately, these groups can be found not only in Russia. But we need to realize what we are fighting against. We are fighting the enemy, and there is only one enemy - Russia. And we are also fighting against those people who see nothing but money for themselves," the President said.

The Ukrainian leader says that there are third countries that allow Russia to circumvent sanctions. But on the other hand, such countries provide Ukraine with certain assistance and declare support for Ukrainian sovereignty.

"And on the other hand, some (countries - Ed.) help circumvent sanctions, where they earn tens of billions of dollars, and have increased trade with Russia compared to the pre-war period. This applies to many countries, even those that are members of the EU or NATO. I would pay attention to this and analyze who needs it, who needs such disinformation. Ukrainians definitely did not do this. And this is the most important thing," he added.
