Violent Hostilities Continue in Bakhmut Area 24/7: Everything Is Littered with Invader Corpses – AFU Officer

Russian troops attempt to conduct assault operations 24/7. In the Donetsk Region, violent hostilities in the Bakhmut area continues almost around the clock, as Andrii Illienko, the officer of Freedom Battalion, said during the national telethon.

"There may be an hour or two of relative silence, and then the fighting continue. The enemy infantry is trying to assault our positions," Illienko noted.

Also, according to him, the military leadership of the Russian Federation is driving freshly mobilized recruits and recruited convicts to attack the positions of the AFU.

"Everything is littered with enemy corpses. The situation is serious, fierce fighting continues. Bakhmut is a Ukrainian fortress that held on when they liberated Kharkov region, when they liberated Kherson region, and continues to hold on now. Bakhmut's role in the war is huge, and there is a lot of fighting ahead," the officer summarized.
