Vovchansk virtually destroyed: Ukrainian forces hold positions among ruins

The situation in Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, remains critical — the city is almost completely ruined, resembling Avdiivka or Volnovakha after heavy fighting.

Victor Trehubov, Head of Communications for the Joint Forces Group, commented on the situation in Vovchansk, as reported by Kyiv 24.

At present, it is nearly impossible to establish new positions in Vovchansk — almost nothing of the city remains.

“There is simply nowhere to set up a position. Ukrainian forces are holding the defense in the southern part of the city, where something still physically exists, where they can at least set up a position,” Trehubov said.

He stressed that the priority is to hold the remaining ruins under Ukrainian control and stop any further Russian advance.
