What will bring peace and security closer in Ukraine: Zelenskyy's response

Right now, everyone in Ukraine needs to act as united and effectively as they did in the first weeks and months of this war, when Ukraine seized the initiative and began to turn the situation in favor of our state.

The President of Ukraine said this in his evening video address to Ukrainians on August 13.

"Now we have done the same: we have once again proven that in any situation, we Ukrainians are capable of achieving our goals - capable of defending our interests and our independence. And we must fully capitalize on our achievements. And we will," he said.

The President said that attention is now focused on every direction of the defense of our state, on all frontline areas.

"Donetsk region - Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Kramatorsk. Kharkiv region. The South. Special attention - Kursk region, and thus, the protection of all our border communities nearby. The more Russian military presence is destroyed in the border regions, the closer peace and true security will come to our state. The Russian state must be held accountable for what it has done. And it is being held accountable. I am proud of our people! Glory to Ukraine!" Zelenskyy said.
