Russia will not hold genuine negotiations to end the war until Ukrainian forces stop its advance on the front line.
Stanislav Buniatov, a sergeant and acting platoon commander in the Aidar Battalion, made the remarks in an interview with the YouTube channel Informer.
«Russia doesn’t want any talks. Everything is going well for them at the front right now. They set their goals, calculated acceptable losses and resources for the war. Everything is going according to their plan. What negotiations can we even talk about now?» Osman stressed.
According to him, the Kremlin uses the topic of talks solely to ease sanctions pressure, while putting forward deliberately unacceptable conditions.
«Russia says: let’s negotiate, but they keep advancing. And there will be no negotiations until we completely stop them. Everyone must understand this. Russia will never decide on its own to negotiate, ” the soldier emphasized.
He also warned that concessions to Russia will not stop its aggression. Even giving up part of the territory would not guarantee peace, as Moscow will always demand more under the pretext of «protecting the Russian-speaking population.»
