«They are the best, but you can’t defy limits»: Osman on whether the enemy can seize Donbas

In Donbas, 80% of Ukrainian Defense Forces’ losses are inflicted by enemy drone pilots, making this one of the key problems along the front line.

Stanislav Buniatov, a sergeant and acting platoon commander in the Aidar Battalion with the call sign «Osman, ” who also runs the Telegram channel „Sniper Speaks, ” said this in an interview with the YouTube channel Informer.

Enemy prospects and key factors

Asked about the enemy’s chances of seizing Donbas in the near future, Osman noted that Ukraine’s most capable units are holding the line there.

«Our most combat-ready units are really deployed there, and even if we don’t hold, we will have done everything we could. That’s how I would put it, ” he said.

Osman stresses that fortifications and the destruction of enemy drone pilots are priorities. According to him, enemy drones cause the overwhelming majority of Ukrainian losses in the region.

Hope in combat-ready units

The soldier expressed hope that the Air Assault Forces and the Azov Corps, which he described as «really skilled guys, ” will be able to maintain the defense of Donbas.

«It’s encouraging that really competent guys are holding the line there: the Air Assault Forces and the Azov Corps. So we’ll hope for the best. And I don’t think anyone could handle this situation better than they can. And if even they are pushed back, you can’t jump higher than your head, ” Osman concluded.
