When Will the War Agaisnt Russian Reach Its Turning Point: Forecast
Mykola Malomuzh described a potential scenario for a major counteroffensive operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The war in Ukraine may approach its turning point in early summer, when the Ukrainian Armed Forces will accumulate enough resources for a major counteroffensive operation, as Mykola Malomuzh, the Former Chief of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, said in his interview with TSN.ua.
"Our counteroffensive operations to liberate our country should be expected in the spring or early summer, when we can accumulate well-trained forces, coordinate, prepare operations and take specific actions to defeat the enemy eliminating both its approaching reserves resources on the front line. These are the realistic timeframes," Malomuzh said.
According to him, Russia will likely fail to accumulate super-powerful resources to deter the expected offensive operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, especially given the fact the Ukraine is now receiving armor from partners.
The former Chief of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine also spoke about potential scenario for a counteroffensive operation by the Ukrainian Armed Forces:
"We will prepare strikes, conduct diversionary operations unexpectedly for the enemy, so the main strike is launched where they do not expect this to happen. Then we will proceed to the offensive, having prepared the reserves, because we need to hold the flanks and rear, as we remember the case of Kharkiv grouping. They really went far, they could have gone as far as Luhansk, but they were not ready to protect rear and flanks, which could have resulted in encirclement. Therefore, we need to prepare such an operation so that there are enough reserves to eepel all any potential enemy attacks from the flanks and the rear, while the main offensive operation is in progress. Therefore, we may expect a significant advance. In the South, we may enter Crimea following the steps of Russian troops running in panic, and in the East, we may liberate Luhansk and Donetsk regions."
