Military intelligence explained why Russia froze the exchange of prisoners.
Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, told about this on the air of the joint telethon on November 23.
"Multiple aspects. It's an attempt to exert pressure on Ukraine, destabilize the situation internally, disregard the interests of their own citizens, and intensify repression within Russia. However, we observe the fact that despite the public statements by both Shoygu and other officials of the aggressor state about the importance of returning prisoners, they are not making real efforts to do so. Nevertheless, negotiations have persisted throughout this time and continue. We are counting on a positive outcome, preparing for it, and actively replenishing the exchange fund," Yusov noted.
