The situation in Kursk region has not worsened due to a lack of intelligence data from the U.S. The Russians have been applying total pressure on the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions since February.

This was stated by military expert and analyst Dmytro Snehiryov during his appearance on "KYIV24."

"The Russians clearly understand the further scenario. The presence of the Defense Forces in Kursk region is the same trump card that Trump spoke about in terms of its absence. If, before the start of the negotiation process, they manage to push the Ukrainian Defense Forces out of Kursk region, Ukraine will be in a worse negotiating position. This is why the intensification of combat operations is linked to this," he explained.

Snehiryov emphasizes that intelligence sharing is irrelevant here. It is important to analyze how long active combat operations have been ongoing in Kursk region. Since the beginning of February, the Russians have switched to total pressure on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
