Situation in the East: CCD reports on the main objective of the Russians regarding Toretsk

Despite a significant advantage in manpower and equipment, Ukrainian defenders have been able to achieve certain successes in Toretsk, Donetsk region.

This was shared by Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko.

Heavy battles are ongoing in eastern Ukraine. According to the head of the CCD, the Defense Forces have had some success in Toretsk.

Kovalenko states that the enemy is accumulating reserves there.

"Accordingly, their main task – to capture Toretsk – remains.

"And the heavy fighting will continue there," Kovalenko concluded.

The Institute for the Study of War also reported on fierce clashes in Toretsk. Analysts noted that both armies had made progress in this area. It was also reported that Ukrainian forces advanced along Druzhby Street in the center of Toretsk and along Budivelnykiv Street in the southern part of the city. The occupiers, on the other hand, advanced along Voronezhskaya Street in the western part of Toretsk.
