On March 8, throughout the day, work continued in the city of Dobropillia in Donetsk region after the Russian strike. This was one of the most brutal and combined attacks. The strike was carefully calculated to cause maximum damage. Missiles, as well as a "Shahed" drones, struck the central part of the city. Nine residential buildings were hit, along with a shopping center and stores.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this in his evening video address on March 8.

"Unfortunately, eleven people were killed. My condolences to their relatives and loved ones. An employee of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine is among the victims. A secondary strike occurred when the rescuers began their work. Fifty people were injured. All have received the necessary assistance. Among the injured are seven children, the youngest being a 10-year-old girl," he said.

Zelenskyy added that there were other cases of shelling in Donetsk region, as well as in Kharkiv and the southern regions of Ukraine.
An FPV drone strike on civilians occured in Kherson.

Literally every day, Russia proves with its cruelty, that nothing has changed for them in Moscow. They are not thinking about how to end the war, but about how to destroy and capture more while the world still allows them to continue this war.

"Of course, we are doing everything possible to protect lives. And I am grateful to all the leaders, all the diplomats from partner countries, all the public figures who support Ukraine, who have condemned these Russian strikes, and who call things by their proper names. And it is important that we continue to coordinate all our efforts with our partners to ensure that our defense is effective and to do everything to bring about peace," he concluded.
